Every member of this team chose to be here — because they believe healing is possible when you stop chasing symptoms and start finding causes.
Laura Burton spent 15 years in intensive care before she founded Full Circle Function — not because she burned out, but because the ICU showed her something conventional medicine consistently gets wrong. Patients were discharged "stable" while still suffering. Labs came back "normal" while something was clearly not right. She left critical care to build something that actually looked for the answer.
Today, Laura holds dual Master's degrees as both a Family Nurse Practitioner and an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, and is certified through Functional Medicine University. Her approach integrates advanced diagnostics — including hair tissue mineral analysis, comprehensive hormone panels, and gut health markers — with the kind of extended appointments and deep listening that conventional medicine rarely makes room for.
She founded Full Circle Function on a single premise: that every patient deserves to understand why they feel the way they feel, and to receive care that actually addresses it. Not management. Answers.
Kristine is a Family Nurse Practitioner and a third-generation nurse — taking care of people is, quite literally, in her blood. With 30 years in nursing and the last 10 as a nurse practitioner, she pairs deep clinical experience with a genuine warmth that patients feel the moment they sit down with her.
Her credentials — MSN, FNP-C, and CFMP — reflect both advanced clinical training and a functional-medicine approach that fits hand-in-glove with the Full Circle philosophy: treat the whole person, look for the root cause, and never rush. Patients describe time with Kristine as thorough, unhurried, and refreshingly human.
Family is everything to her. Outside the clinic you'll find Kristine traveling, spending time with her dogs and her niece, swimming, or at Pride fitness.
Janie believes in showing up. Her mantra — "Day one, or one day. You choose." — captures how she approaches every patient who walks through the door: every visit is the start of something, not a checkpoint on a long list.
As the clinic's IV nurse, Janie oversees Full Circle Function's hydration and nutrient infusion services — from immune support and recovery blends to Myers' cocktails and custom protocols. She works closely with Laura to match each patient's labs and goals to the right IV plan, and patients consistently describe her sessions as the most calm part of their week.
Her clinical background and bedside presence make IV therapy at Full Circle Function feel less like a medical appointment and more like a reset.
For 53 years, the heart of this family has done one thing above all else: take care of people. She graduated from the Michael Reese Hospital School of Nursing in 1973 — on a full scholarship she earned herself — and spent the decades that followed at the bedside, most of them on the night shift in intensive care, where the sickest patients need the steadiest hands.
After watching hospital care drift away from the patient, she stepped back from the system and found her way to Full Circle Function — helping Laura care for people the way she always believed it should be done. In her own words, she finally left "the sick-care system" for real healthcare.
She was the eighth of fourteen children, raised on a farm where hard work wasn't a value so much as a way of life. That work ethic carried her through nursing school and into a career spanning peritoneal dialysis, the ICU, and everything in between. It was in dialysis that she met her husband, Roy, a Navy Corpsman — they married in 1975 and built a family together.
She raised three children — Samantha, Laura, and Scott — working nights so she could be present during the day. After Roy passed in 2008, she kept right on nursing, because that is simply who she is. Today she brings all 53 of those years to Full Circle Function, where caring for people — really caring for them — is the whole point.
Samantha — Laura's sister — lives by a line from John Muir: "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." It's a fitting motto for someone who finds her meaning in the outdoors, in her garden, and in the people and animals she loves.
She is a devoted mother to her two children and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Her animals — and all animals — hold a very special place in her heart.
Through her love of nature, travel, gardening, and cooking, Samantha strives to live a life rooted in compassion, adventure, and gratitude — the same spirit she brings to the Full Circle Function family.
Taylor is the welcoming face you see when you walk into Full Circle Function. She handles the front desk, supplement checkout, ordering, and shipping, which means she keeps the day-to-day moving so the clinical team can focus on patient care.
Outside the clinic she gravitates toward animals, travel, and anything health related. That curiosity carries into her work, where she takes the time to make sure every patient leaves with the right supplements, the right answers, and a friendly send-off.
"We take the time that medicine forgot. Because real answers only come when someone actually looks."
— Full Circle Function
